Personally, I like to use the button when i'm looking for a boost or a stronger throat hit. It gives you a bit more control over the pull.

Hello, I've recently purchased the Caliburn- and am confused by how to use the fire button. The automatic draw is fantastic, I just pull on it like I would a cigarette. But was wondering what the proper usage is for "pushing" the button to inhale the liquids. When I press the fire button, do I inhale at the same time, or do I wait a second or two for it to fill up my mouth and then inhale? What exactly is the point of a fire button if you can just draw on the device as you would a cigarette? Also, when I hold down the fire button, it seems very powerful and almost sprays liquid into my mouth. Is this normal? Just wondering if there is a step-by-step tutorial on proper usage of the fire button (how long to press for, when to inhale, etc) because I can't find anything online. Thanks!

Hello Brent, the fire button is there for people who prefer to use the button versus the auto fire feature and to turn the device ON/OFF. The fire button does give a little more power versus the auto fire that is probably why you are getting a little big of spit back, spit back is normal for any device. A 3-4 second hit using the button is around normal and you can also use the button either way you would like MTL (Mouth to Lung) or DTL (Direct to Lung) it all comes down to personal preference. Personally I love the auto fire feature and my overall experience with the caliburn. If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask! Happy Vaping!

Hello Cindy, yes you can vape salt base nicotine when using the Caliburn. I would actually recommend using salt base in your caliburn as salt base nicotine works really well with low powered devices like the Caliburn. However it's all personal preference on what type of of nicotine you would like to use either freebase or nic salts. Happy Vaping!

Hi! So I switched to vape to quit smoking and it worked! It's been 4 months since I touched a cigarette and recently I made the switch to Caliburn from an Elven. But here's the thing, for a while I feel kinda weird and out of breath and I don't feel so good after having a few drags from the Caliburn. I don't know if it's not suiting me or if it's in my head. Is it possible for a vape device to be bad for me? I actually love the device but the sicky and tired feeling is scary and I'm not the only one my guy feels the same way

Maybe the nic strength is too high? Try a lower mg maybe? My mom is a chain smoker so she tried 48mg nic salts and it made her dizzy, her lungs were wheezy when shed breathe and lots of coughing. Try lower mg, it might just be too strong for you!

Well for starters Vape devices ARE bad for you, the misconception is that vaping does no damage. However this is not necessarily a bad thing because the damage from vaping is only about 5% of what you would get out of a cigarette. Different pods let out smoke at different levels and sometimes if the pod releases more smoke than what your old pod used that would cause the inside of your lungs to be more coated in the thick vapor which would lower your lung capacity and make you feel out of breath and heavy. Try comparing the more nitty gritty details that separate the elven from your cali burn to see if that is the case. Also do consider that each device does something different for everyone and their response is very personal so perhaps the caliburn just may not be the right one for you. Maybe you just need to get used to it but I would say to try out a different device to protect your lungs which may not be comfortable with the caliburn smoke output.

Hey I recently bought this system and the spitback is really insane. I am really disappointed in this. Am i doing something wrong? almost every hit i feel juice hitting my throat which is very irritating. I am using the radvaper whoa saltnic with 70/30 vgpg ratio.

I use regular ejuice but still have occasional spit back. Usually when i over fill or use the automatic draw. Have less issues when i use the button draw. Cleaning the mouth piece out with a Kleenex seems to help.

Hi Hans, The process for the caliburn is to continue refilling the pod when it reaches the minimum until it gets a burnt taste, once the taste is burnt throw away the whole pod and grab a new one, When you do fill the new pod with the desired liquid and let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak into the cotton, then plug and play! good to go! hope this helps.

Pods have the coil inside them, there's still a coil it's just not removable from the pod itself. You continue to refill the pod until you taste a burnt/lacking flavour (just like a coil). Once it starts tasting bad, you throw out the whole pod and fill a new one to use. Most pods should last on average about a week, however Caliburns seem to exceed that easily.

I bought one of these last week, bought 4 spare pods too because I liked the idea of switching between flavs during the day. UNFORTUNATELY, I found that the spitback is insane, almost every other hit i'm feeling juice in my mouth or on my lips and two of the pods leaked when left upright on my desk, but the weirdest part is the pods leaked from the chimney and left a puddle under the pod. Does anyone have any advice for me? the juices i'm using are reg nic, 3 of the pods had 70/30 in and the other 50/50. I really want to like the Caliburn as the few hits I got without problem were awesome and filled with flavour and produced good clouds but this experience is really putting me off.

So...I just received my device yesterday. I’ve had to charge it 3 times. The battery lasts for 45 minutes (in total) use. I know it’s a smaller battery but this doesn’t seem right. Anyone else have the same issue or is this just normal? I have an aspire with 3 times the battery size and it lasts 2, sometimes 3 days...I figured, with my vaping habits, I’d get at least a day out of this device. Anyone else dealing with the same battery life? Is this normal?

Hi, I vaped something called Blu many years ago and I believe I went back to cigarette smoking after a few months. Then 2 years ago I started using IQOS and have not been smoking cigarettes since. Even though I'm satisfied with the IQOS, I feel that I should give vaping a try again (after all, HNB is not vape). So, I saw a ton of good reviews for the Caliburn and I have a few questions as I am definitely a noob in vaping. How often do I have to change the cartridge? How likely the juice would leak if I keep the Caliburn in my jeans pocket? Are there any nic salt juice that is unsweetened? And lastly (and I know this is a stupid question), if I were to try to mimic the IQOS throat hit experience but don't want to get too much nic level, what mg of nic should I get in the nic salt juice? The UWell Caliburn is the best pod system I’ve come across. UWell really got it together and did their R&D and developed a great pod. I’ve been vaping for about 4 years now and have done tanks, build your own, sqwonk, and multiple salt nic mods.. in regards to the cartridge, I just changed mine from about 3 weeks and not cause it burnt out, it was due to me mixing multiple flavors and just not getting a string hit of flavor anymore.. I’d say 3-4 weeks on one pod. I keep the pod in my shirt pocket all day everyday and have never had it leak once.. at DashVapes if there’s a flavor you like they can make it a salt nic in less than a few minutes.. I’ve smoked for about 12 years prior to vaping and I’m at about 30 to 35% nic salt and that usually satisfies my craving without a strong throat hit but flavors and % would be really dependent on your use and likes and dislikes.. but I’d highly recommend this mod and DashVapes.. the staff here in Vaughan Ontario is awesome and I’m sure they are at other locations as well.. best of luck..!!

The Calliburn is prob my 4th vape and my favourite by far. If u are an avid smoker you may not have to change the cartridge for about 2 or 3 weeks. You’ll know when you have to change cuz it’ll start to loose flavour and/or taste burnt. I’ve had problems in the past with juice leaking but this one is amazing, a guy at the store told me that it has a vacuum like function and will suck the juice back in when u take a hit, if you’re going to put it in ur pocket as long as u don’t put it in facing down you should be fine. My almost never leaks. The Calliburn works really good without salt nic and still gives a really nice throat hit. Right now I’m using 12mg of regular nic and it gives me a nice hit but since ur a smoker I recommend going higher maybe for salt nic 12mg could work

Hey there! There should be no issue if you use regular nicotine juice, that's more of a personal preference. I'm currently using this with an 80vg/20pg mix juice with salt nic, but I've also tried it out with regular nicotine. The nicotine has no bearing on how the device performs in a technical sense. But if you're looking for a more satisfying throat hit, and looking for a more satisfying nicotine intake then I would recommend salt nic. Talk to the guys at Dash Vapes I'm sure they'll be able to cover all the bases for you. Either way if this is going to be your first pod system, or even if it's not, I would highly recommend it. Amazing battery life, great coil life, and HUGE flavour.

Too "airy" for me!
Hi there, I read many reviews before I purchased the Caliburn system. I think I wanted it so bad that I skimmed through the "bad" ones. I"m a former pack a dayer and I've been chasing vapes for about 3 years now. Hoping to find that "one" that really works for me. I thought the Caliburn was going to be the "one". Sadly, it's not. My review is based on my own personal experience and how I feel about vapes only. THis isn't to bash the Caliburn. The vape itself seems great, I love the size and convenience of it. It's easy to fill and charge so I can understand why some love it. However, for me it's too "airy" if that's a word? There's not much "pull" or "drag" to it. Even when I hit the button, there's still too much air and it can't be regulated. If I could regulate the air intake I think it would hit the spot. So, from my own point of view, I'm giving it 1 * . I'll add that I have the vype right now (the thin one) and I love it. Problem being the pods are getting too expensive so I'm going to give the innokin a try next. I'll give that one a review once I try it out. Thanks for reading!

After a few weeks of use...
Now that I have had this mod for a few weeks, I am ready to give it a proper review. At first everything was fine, but now that I've had it for a few weeks, I have noticed that the second pod is leaking (I used 2 pods, to hold 2 different flavours for me to choose from). Not only that, but the auto aspiration had stopped functioning (which sucks, as I don't always want to press the button). It's fine for it's purpose, which is an easy, no headache, vape session; but if you want something that can last longer, has great taste and doesn't have the chance of leaking with no self repair available, this is not for you. P-S. Of course, I am aware that there are replacement mods, but the thing is still made cheaply. My next buy will be a proper mod, not a pod system. I hope this review helps.

Best small pod system.
Trust me. I’ve tried them all. You can beat this device. Only thing I would change is to take away the button. I bunt out a cartridge yesterday in my purse because I didn’t realize I hadn’t turned it off.

Great flavour

  • Failure or damage caused due to improper use or unauthorized repair
  • Failure or damage as a result of excessive force such as dropping or abuse
  • Failure or damage as a result of usage outside of recommended operating instructions. (See usage manual for operating instructions)
  • Damage or failure caused by improper use. This includes water damage, juice spillage, and fire damage.
  • Leaky tanks are not covered under warranty
  • Loss or damage due to missing components
  • Stripped or damaged threads, crooked 510 connection (Atomizer not sitting flush)
  • Damage to the finish (cosmetic issues), or scratches from a brushed finish.
  • Rattling or sticky buttons
  • Modifying a product in any way, automatically voids the warranty.
  • Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product.
  • Items outside of our warranty period

What is covered by our Warranty?
  • LED screen issues
  • Charging port issues
  • Battery issues (turning off when firing, etc)
  • Unit auto firing.
  • Chip malfunctions


Some products will have minor flaws and that is to be expected during manufacturing. We can only accept a return or exchange if an item is defective (malfunctioning).

Extended Warranty
DashVapes offers an extended 90-day warranty on some items (specifically starter kits and mods). The 90-day extended warranty extends your existing 30-day warranty that comes with the purchase to 90 days. The price for the extended warranty is always $5.00.

You may purchase the additional warranty on your device within 7 days of your purchase.

The extended warranty prolongs your warranty period from 30 to 90 days. It does not alter what is covered by the warranty.
Restocking Fee
Returns / exchanges will incur a 10% Restocking fee on items. This includes packages not signed for during delivery and returned to us by the shipping courier. We can only accept returns on manufacturer sealed items. If an item does not come sealed originally, we are unable to take a return on it. Returns and exchanges are made in the form of Store Credit, and added to your account in the form of Points. Please be aware, if items are returned incomplete or not in the same condition they were shipped to you in, no Credit will be given and the package will be returned to you at your expense.
Underage Purchases
Every package that we ship utilizes Canada Post's Age Verification service. This means that in order for Canada Post to hand over the package, you must verify that you are of legal smoking age in your province or state. (If you are in Canada and choose UPS, UPS requires you to be 19 regardless of where you order from). If Canada Post cannot verify your age, they will ship the items back to us. Once the items return, final sale items (as outlined below) are non-refundable. Any items that are eligible for a refund will be done so minus a FIFTY PERCENT (50%) restocking fee, as well as any shipping charges incurred for shipping the items to you, and for Canada Post to ship them back to us. This is absolutely non-negotiable. If you are underage, please do not order items, you will lose money doing so.

Wrong or Missing Order Item(s)
If we make an error when fulfilling your order, please contact customer service within 48 hours of receiving your package to initiate a claim. A brief email to sales@dashvapes.com alerting us of an error is the quickest way of initiating claims. We make sure to correct any fulfillment mistakes as quickly as possible, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Incorrectly received items must be returned to us. We provide you with a prepaid return label via email to send back the product(s) free of charge. If we do not receive the item(s) within 30 days, we reserve the right to charge the original payment method used to make your purchase for the full dollar amount of the product(s).
Product Exchanges
Items that are DOA (Dead on Arrival) or still under warranty, are eligible for an exchange only. We will exchange the item with the exact same item, in the exact same colour. Exceptions may apply if the item is no longer being actively stocked.

We can not offer store credit or refunds on warranty exchanges.
Refunds & Store Credit
We are unable to issue refunds to any form of payment other than the original credit card used to make your purchase.

We are unable to issue a refund via Interac E-Transfer, Cash, Debit Card or Cheque. If you purchased using Interac E-Transfer, Debit Card, Cash or Cheque, you will receive store credit.

We issue refunds within 7 business days after receipt and inspection of returned merchandise. You will receive an email notification confirming your refund.

Depending on your card-issuing bank, please allow up to one billing cycle for a refund to appear on your statement.

Where applicable, we issue store credit in the form of reward points for the value of the returned product(s) after receipt and inspection of returned merchandise.

These reward points can be used as cash on the checkout page and in-store.

Original shipping fees may be deducted from a refund unless the return is the result of our error. International shipping fees are non-refundable.

Please note: we cannot process return or refund requests without proof of purchase.
Non-returnable & Final Sale Items
All clearance, final sale, or "as is" marked items are nonrefundable and ineligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges.

We also cannot accept returns of atomizer tanks, rebuildable atomizers (unless DOA), mods that contain no electrical components, battery cells, replacement parts, accessories and electronic cigarette liquids.

Our 30-day return policy does not include coverage of accidents and user errors such as over-tightening atomizers, stripping threads, broken glass, physical damage, dropping products, water damage, exposure to extreme temperatures, not adhering to manufacturer provided usage instructions, or any misuse of products, electronic or mechanical.

We do not accept returns for normal product wear and tear, for example cosmetic blemishes or natural patina.
Return Merchandise Authorization
To initiate a return or exchange you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To obtain an RMA number, please fill out the form at http://www.dashvapes.com/rma
Return Address
After you receive an RMA number, please return your product(s) to us within 30 days. Be sure to include your RMA Approval email.

Pack all merchandise safely to prevent damage during transit. We strongly recommend using a shipping method with tracking & insurance. DashVapes, Inc. is not responsible for loss or damage during transit.

At DashVapes we offer a couple of shipping options to our customers. The shipping method you choose does not affect how quickly your orders get placed or processed. We try to ship all In-stock orders that get placed prior to 1:00 PM EST the same day. In some situations though it may take up to 3 days to process and ship your order. Our packages are packaged discreetly for your security. Backordered items will ship as soon as they become in stock.

We offer various Canada Post, and UPS shipping options all over the world. Shipping rates are calculated on the checkout page. A delivery estimate will be shown on the checkout page.
Proof of Age Required
We utilize Canada Post's Proof of Age (18+, 19+ or 21+ depending on your province or state) option on every single package, no exceptions.

Because we utilize this option for all shipments, signature will be obtained upon delivery of all shipments. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the package will be left at your nearest post office, where you will have to show Proof of Age to sign and receive the package.

Any fees associated with packages that are Returned to Sender because Proof of Age was not able to be determined, will NOT receive a refund.

We can not remove this option, even if you have already been verified to be of age. - Every package leaving our facilities will require to be age verified, in accordance with Canadian law. only the person named in the "Shipping" fields can pick up the package. Canada Post will NOT release the package to anyone else
Free Shipping
We offer free same day shipping (not delivery) on all orders in Canada and USA when you purchase C$35 or more in non-overstock products, and free shipping every where else in the world when you spend C$100 or more in non-overstock products. We usually utilize Canada Post Expedited shipping option for free shipping in Canada, UPS Standard for free shipping the U.S.A, and UPS or Canada Post Air Shipping for all international destinations (some international destinations may be untracked). There is no insurance added to packages shipped for free.

Overstock items are NOT counted towards the free shipping minimum.

We reserve the right to cancel orders we deem unreasonable to ship for free. (Examples of this are extremely heavy or large and awkward products, etc). We will give you the option to pay for shipping on these items.

Orders shipping for free must ship from the same distribution center. If all of the items on your order are not in stock at one distribution center and must be shipped form multiple locations, we will contact you to either change the item or to pay additional shipping charges.

In the event your item is not succesfully delivered due to an issue that we deem to be your fault (Wrong address, Failure to pick up, Underage), we will deduct the shipping fees from the initial shipment (even if it was free for you), and the fees for the return shipment that we were charged by the carrier from any potential refund you may be eligible to.

Orders shipped to outside of Canada may be subject to import duties, taxes, and / or brokerage fees. We cannot control this.
Order Processing
We process all in-stock orders 7 days a week (excluding Canadian holidays).

Please note, if you receive a tracking number during a weekend or major holiday, your order is prepared for shipment, but it is not handed off to a shipping carrier until the following business day.

We reserve the right to additional processing time if any questions or concerns regarding your order arise. We always do our best to get in touch with you via phone or email only when absolutely necessary. Please make sure you provide us with current contact information during checkout.

Any foreseen order processing delays are visibly announced directly on the affected product's page. If we are experiencing a larger than normal order volume an announcement is made via a site-wide notice.

Typically, In-stock orders placed before 1:00 PM EST will go out the same day. (Delivery will depend on the carrier)
Carrier Restrictions
Canada Post do not deliver packages on Saturday or Sunday, or major Canadian holidays.

We only ship using Canada Post and UPS, we are unable to use FedEX, DHL or any other shipping carrier.
Tracking
Tracking numbers are automatically generated when we print your shipping label during order processing. An email containing the tracking number with the subject "Your order has shipped!" is then sent to the email address you provided during checkout.

Please check your email's "spam" folders if you did not receive a tracking number

U.S.A customers can track their packages using http://www.usps.com

International customers can track their packages using the local post office service for their country if a tracking number is provided. Sometimes, International tracking is not available.

Insurance
Every package shipped by DashVapes is insured up to $100.00 on tracked packages only. If your order is larger than $100, and you'd like to add full insurance coverage to your package, you can do so at the checkout page. In the event that Canada Post or UPS lose a package, we will only credit orders up to $100.00 if they do not have full insurance.

US and International non-tracked items do not have insurance, and will not be replaced in the event of loss.
Orders outside of Canada
DashVapes offers multiple shipping options at various price points when shipping outside of Canada, or the United States.

UPS offers the most reliable, and quickest options. You can find the shipping rates on the checkout page after filling out your delivery address.

Please ensure that you mind the laws of the country you are ordering to. We specialize in shipping tasty e-juice and affordable hardware to USA.

There may be additional import duties and taxes when receiving your package. This is rated based on your country and is out of our control.
Order Changes & Cancellations
Order changes or cancellations are possible. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate any changes as long as the order has not yet been shipped. Once an order has shipped, you must return the package to us prior to receiving a refund, shipping fees are not refundable.

Electronic Cigarette liquid (or ejuice) can only be canceled if the order has not yet been created. Since we typically mix to order, We are unable to cancel / refund / credit for juice that is already created, even if it is still within our facilities.
