I have about 8 mods on my desk that have essentially become holders for various tanks I use. The reason they're holders? Because I have a "slight" tendency to occasionally drop mods. Okay, potentially "slightly" more than occasionally. Still, I've found that mods, in general, don't hold up to being dropped, not in the slightest. Especially bottom loaders.
This VooPoo is nothing like those. I can't tell you the number of times I've dropped it, but it keeps on ticking, zero issues, ever.
Part of the reason I also really like it is that it is "substantial". I'm not saying it's crazy heavy, but you just know it's completely made of metal and it has a definite weight to it, vs many that seem to have body parts made of plastic.
Anyway, I wasn't sure sure about the VooPoo when I ordered it, as I'd never heard of the brand, but I've been using it now completely issue-free for about 9 months, and I'm simply so thrilled with it. Anyway, I just ordered another as a backup.

Very responsive and and easy to navigate
I've been using the drag for a little over three months and I love it. It has help up to being dropped a handful of times onto the concrete. The door might fly off but your batteries wont budge. Comparing this to my Aegis Legend 200w, its significantly lighter while still feeling very solid and well made. The option to customise the message screens is a nice little touch. With the Drag you can expect reliability and power. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have had some button issues. In the "break in" period the fire button got stuck down 3 or 4 times, easy enough to get it unstuck but worth mentioning. as well as a few times the button being press didn't register. Luckily for me I haven't had either of these issues in about a month. Still love it.

Sticky buttons
I was very excited to get this mod after hearing nothing but good things about it, but after receiving it in the mail I was highly disappointed. Upon opening up the mod firing it off a couple of times I noticed my fire button had started to stick and would get stuck and make my mod keep shooting off.
There's apparently no fixing this problem, I wouldn't waste your time or money on any voopoo products. It's just utter trash.

Solid mod
Silver and black has a classic look. The mod works very well, quick to heat up when you turn it on, and the battery life is very good at low wattage (full day on fresh batteries @18w). It is too big to carry in your pocket so make sure to have a backup for that.

My favourite mod to date
This mod is compact, but kind of heavy. I bought the black resin version, which I like a lot. It is a shame that the battery door has the word "DRAG" stamped so big on it, which makes it quite a bit obnoxious. Beside that, the black plating is starting to come off on the mod's bottom edges after a week of use, and I do like that; I love when my things get their own patina through usage. The chip inside this mod is excellent: in a mod, I don't want a big colour display. Just show me what wattage I'm at and how my batteries are doing. The Gene chip shows just that. All I wish for is for Voopoo to produce a squonk mod with this exact same design. That would be rad.

Its built like a tank and works really well. Its heavy and a bit boxy but gives the feeling that it will run forever. Automatically sets the wattage when you tell it that a new coil has been inserted, which it nice. Naturally you can adjust it manually but its nice to have the confirmation.
Display is clear to read and the batteries are easy to get in and out for charging. The two battery setup ensures that it will last all day.
My only gripe, and its minor, would be that there is a little play in the battery door.
Overall, I don't think you could find anything better at this price point.

Living this thing. Went from a SMOK G150 and an Alien AL85 (Used to carry two through the day), to just this one. The double battery capacity keeps this thing chugging all day long! Love it. It's bigger, boxier and heavier, but solid. Easy to use, it automatically detects the coil and it's best setting and adjusts to it, to a techtard like me, that's great.

One of the best mods I've ever owned.
I bought this, and loved it so much I bought another one. Then I bought another one. Got the silver/carbon, then got black/green resin, then got silver/green resin.
For the money, this is the best mod you can buy right now. Much better quality than any other mod at this price point. Voopoo is making some really good stuff. Build quality is top of the line. The software is easy to use too. You can customize a lot of stuff through the software.
You can even change the font on the mod to Aurebesh. Aurebesh is the alien writing from the Star Wars movies. You won't be able to read anything unless you learn Aurebesh, but still; how cool is that?
There are only a couple things I would change if I could. If you want to change the TCR settings, you can. But, Voopoo uses their own (unusual) TCR values. You can go by feel, or you can Google conversion tables to convert standard TCR values to what Voopoo uses.
Out of the three Voopoo Drags that I bought, two are silver and one is black. The paint on the battery door of the black mod is coming off. This is just from normal use and holding it in my hand. I don't have the same problem with the two silver mods because they aren't painted. They're just bare metal. Even with the paint coming off the door, I love the black mod.
These are very minor complaints. This is one of the best mods ever. Everyone should own at least one Voopoo Drag. Even with a couple very minor complaints, I still give it five stars.

Top quality mod
I’ve been vaping for about 3+ years now, and in that time, I’ve worked my way through a number of mods. Most have lasted about 4-6 months on average before some part gives out. You can usually tell what that part will be when you first get the mod, an inherent design flaw, whether it be the battery door, the 510 pin, or the +/- buttons. Not since the Reuleaux RX200 (an absolute champ which is still kicking huge clouds - built like a tank) has there been a mod that is so sturdy, and seemingly without a single design flaw as the Voopoo Drag. While I’m not a fan of the etched DRAG on the battery door (hoping for a resin coated replacement at some point), the Voopoo Drag has surpassed my expectations of quality, durability and flat out functionality. While the auto-detect of your coils and suggested wattage is an awesome feature, it’s the solid, no moving parts (I’m looking at you, janky battery trap-doors) that make this a truly reliable and sturdy mod. The Gene chip is awesome, and handles my SS316L builds as well as my pure kanthal Clapton builds. Most important, this mod fires instantly, and reliably every time. The magnetic battery door gets no wear-and-tear from regular openings, and snaps back into place with a lock-tight feel as good today as when I got it 3 months ago. While the paint jobs has some slight signs or age, it’s nothing compared to many I’ve had, Smok being the worst. I’ve got a VandyVape Pyro on top, and this little rig chucks clouds all day without fail, and still shows zero signs of weakness. If your on the fence about whether this mod will last, and live up to the hype, trust it will. I gave up a fancy yihi chip and display to “downgrade” to this, and never looked back. Don’t be fooled by the basic or old-school looks, mods like this only come around once in a while, and they WILL be the ones to outlast all the others.

This was the exact mod I wanted as soon as I found they had a Turquoise color option. I checked online and it was pretty much sold out everywhere except here. The VooPoo Drag is my favourite box mod, easy to use. Sometimes i forget what controls are for what since im used to a more in-depth screen. I also dont go higher than 80 watts usually. The Drag is super sturdy, feels nice in my hand and isnt too bulky so you can still carry it everywhere you go.

As a female vapor I care about the outside very much. In the beginning my friends tried to talk me into some SMOK devices but they just seem so flashy and cheap. This design looks so nice and it’s hard to imagine it costs the same as those ugly SMOK randomly colored plastics. Btw it works very well in terms of vaping.

Great mod!
I love this mod. My old mod, the SX Q Class Mini, died on me last week so I had to buy a new device. I was going to pickup the Smok MAG, but one of the sales reps recommended this one at the Toronto store, and I couldn't be more pleased. This is a great device, and it isn't exactly compact so if you're used to smaller devices, this one will feel a bit odd in the hand for the first few days or so, but you'll get used to it pretty quickly. This device isn't ergonomically designed, but it's built like a freakin' tank!

The perfect Mod!
Just picked this Mod up a couple of days ago so I can't comment on long term performance but so far it has been an amazing device! Build quality is great, has a great solid feel with quite a bit of weight to it. Absolutely no rattles or cheap feeling parts. Currently I'm running the HorizonTech Falcon tank on it and it fires it right up almost instantly. The resin siding looks amazing and gives it a great almost rubberized feel which helps with grip. I would recommend this mod to everyone!

This Mod Rocks!!
I'm so glad that I got this mod. Construction feels really solid. I'm using a Uwell Crown 3 tank with it and it just rocks. I am primary using it in wattage mode, I get a really nice warm flavorful vape. Have tried using it in TC Mode but didn't really get the vape I was looking for, it was to cool and lacking a little in the flavor department. I'll need to play with the settings and try again. Batteries are lasting about 3-4 days for me, that's with moderate usage through out the day. It is a bit of a pain to get through the UI, but all in all it just takes a little bit of practice and it should be fine. So for the price you can't lose.

Amazing device
This is a solid mod. It is my first fully regulated mod with adjustable settings so I can't compare it others on a personal level but it is great compared to my small mechanical and AIO mods.
It is very easy to use and pick up how to access the settings. If you are unsure there are literally dozens of videos going into more detail on that.
I love the feature of screwing on an atomizer and it can automatically change the wattage to a recommended level. Great place to start from if you don't know what wattage you will want to vape at.
It is solid in the hand, comfortable for my hands which are apparently giant stone hands because I've some people complain this is a large, "boxy" mod with sharp corners. Fits my hand just fine.
I got the black with blue and purple resin and it looks great! My only downside on the is the bottom black coating has scratched with use but it doesn't bother me a whole lot.
The only real thing I am not a fan of is changing settings. It is all done through the fire button so you are essentially firing the coil when either changing to a different mode or trying to turn off the device. Also it would be since if there was a lock function to lock in your setting but leave the firing button usable. It only has a lock function to lock all the buttons.
TLDR: great device, solid in the hand, looks good, easy to use, wish you could change settings differently.

I'm not technical person and just love the fact that all I did was take it out of the box, put my batteries in and started vaping no complexity at all, have it paired with the UWELL CROWN 3 amazing! , automatically adjusted to coil temp, which was a neat feature... there are a lot of cool other features I will start to looking at but for someone who just vapes at watts it's been awesome battery has been going for 3 days still havn't had to change vaping at 55 watt .4ohm coils.

Look out Evolv!
The Voopoo Gene chip is as good as Evolv's DNA. I am not familiar with Yihi, but since they are as well regarded as Evlov I will call them equals. I have owned 4 DNA devices from the 30 to the 250 and vape using temperature control. The Drag performs as well as a DNA 166 for half the price. Out of the box the device runs temp control without any additional settings requiring the use of software. If you are familiar with Evolv's Escibe software you know there is some learning that is required for either initial setup, or for the vaper that needs to tinker and fine tune their devices. Voopoo offers very similar software that seems less complex yet is complicated by the authors whose first language is not English. The Gene chip offers great flexibility and performance for new to advanced vapers at a reasonably price.
The Drag is a well built boxy mod with sharp edges and is hard on the eyes with DRAG etched on the one side, which is less visible in the silver colour. The name of the device and the name of the manufacturer turned me off my purchase until I discovered the abilities of the Gene chip. Phil Busardo does an honest review which reflects my opinions of the Voopoo Drag.

This is the best mod I have bought to date, the build quality is top notch.
I have had it for about 5 months now and is still in perfect condition. I went through 3 Joyetechs in that amount of time and it puts Wismecs quality to shame.

I bought this device awhile back and I love it the main thing I really like is the Gene chip which reads your tank or dipper unit and sets the wattage for you then you can go up or down depending on your taste or if you like a hot vape just don't over do it

Best Upgrade
Went from a Smok Alien to the VooPoo. I matched it with a crown 3 coil and was ever so happy! Was trying to hold off until Christmas until I bought myself my second mod ever but couldn't wait. Right out of the package this Mod was packed with power and has a instant fire. IF you can get over the obnoxious DRAG written on the side of the mod itself, this thing is a great buy. The mod is a perfect size for me and does comfortable fit in my coat pocket or pants. Overall this thing out classes my alien.

Next best thing to a DNA or Yihi
I purchased this Mod last night and haven't put it down since. I am all about temperature control and this Chip delivers as promised. The TCR values are a little unique as they seem to use their own values, ie SS316L fused clapton 0.264 Ohm works great at the factory setting of 1300 (there is a conversion chart available online), typically 0.000092 converts to 1113, but I prefer the setting of 1300. The quality of vape on temp control is very smooth with absolutely no pulsing and very quick ramp up time. This is by far the most satisfying temp control vape that I have had so far and is very similar to the DNA and Yihi boards in this respect, but at an affordable price. The display is almost identical to that found on most DNA devices and is nice and bright and very detailed, all the important information is there and can be viewed easily even in bright sunlight. The mod is definitely boxy when compared to what I normally use, Asmodus Minikin V2 and GeekVape Aegis but doesn't take much to get used to and isn't that much heavier than the Aegis. Looks are subjective and I only wished that Voopoo would have put the resin panels on both sides as it looks a little unfinished. It is very reminiscent of the mods of about 8 years ago, like the Hana DNA mods or the Sigelei, but I kinda like that. It is a very well built device with very clean battery sled and very clicky and responsive buttons. It took me less than an hour to learn the menu system, so no issues there either. All in all, this Mod has surpassed my expectations and delivers exceptional results and is definitely as good as either a DNA or Yihi SX chip at a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for a device that gives you a smooth quality vape in all modes, then look no further, this is the one to get.

Fantastic build quality, very nice looks, very accurate and super fast firing chip, and solid battery life. When looking at the resin Voopoo Drag online, i didnt think i would like it... But when seeing it in person, the colors and patterns are nice and vibrant which made me want to buy the Mod on the spot. You wont regret this purchase .

Amazing
Simply put this mod is amazing. It's dead accurate and I've had no issues or misfires. And the resin is amazing and unique to every mod. It's pretty hefty in weight when it's got two 18650s in it. Buttons are great and clicky the 510 connection is solid in build. I highly suggest this.

Good mod.
Got the black resin version. Seems like they fixed the play with the door (less movement on the door). The gene chip is quickest draw in thee west. The mod itself feels sharp around the edges. It's a really good looking mod. I'd recommend it to anyone really. Just a solid mod.

Affordable solid mod. Unlike tons of mass made mods from the orient, this one stands out. Although not a terribly expensive mod it gives the impression of value and worth in your hand. Clicky fire/settings buttons, effective magnetic battery door. I'm a straight up wattage user on every mod, and this hits hard and fast. I compare this mod to a throwback to the mods of yesteryear: the more heavy, solid, squared off box mods. Love it. Don't hesitate. People on Freenode recommend the Joyetech Primo 2.0 to everyone inquiring about dual battery mods, I'd take just ONE VooPoo Drag, over a supply of 10 of Joyetech mods. It's that damn good. Silly company name, but I can get over that easily. -J

Awesome DNA clone
First off, this thing feels solid, it’s on the heavy side and it feels like a heavy duty metal mod. The fire button has a good accentuation for to it. So yeah overall this box feels and look solid.
Also, it fires super quick, as soon as you hit that button, you get vape right away, I love it.
About the interface : it’s a bit tedious to go through all the buttons presses combinations to customize all the power and temp curves but you do get that DNAesque customization.
One thing to keep in mind, Voopoo recently released a black/resin version and in my opinion it looks way better. Maybe wait for that version or not, your taste.
To conclude, this box’s quality/price ratio is so good I can’t give it less then five stars

Ok this mod is nearly perfect, the Gene chip is really amazing for this price, as good as the DNA chip for a fraction of the price. The Mod is really solid, good materials, great quality. The carbon finish is REALLY REALLY hotter than it seem on the pictures here. Its fires so damn quick and thats also the only con when came the time to put it off, it fire even if you press 5 times quickly as you can but i can live with that. AWESOME AWESOME mod, i tried it with an rda, rdta and a subohm tank(cleito) and i have to say with the Cleito the flavour was better than with any other mod i own.
im planning to buy a second one but black this time!!

Amazing
This mod is exactly as advertised. It has a good weight to it, the buttons are very nice and clicky. Scrolls through the wattages quick in increments of 1. And fires almost instantly. NO LAG! As for appearance. The resin versions look amazing. No two alike. The swirling effect is nicely done. The steel finish is brushed rather than polished. So it won't exactly match most stainless steel tanks or rda's. A TFV8 has a half mm overhang but it's barely noticeable. Overall great unit. If your into the market for a new mod that's responsive and solid then this is it. Five stars for this mid all day.

Damage or failure caused by improper use. This includes water damage, juice spillage, and fire damage.
Leaky tanks are not covered under warranty
Loss or damage due to missing components
Stripped or damaged threads, crooked 510 connection (Atomizer not sitting flush)
Damage to the finish (cosmetic issues), or scratches from a brushed finish.
Rattling or sticky buttons
Modifying a product in any way, automatically voids the warranty.
Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product.

Chip malfunctions
Some products will have minor flaws and that is to be expected during manufacturing. We can only accept a return or exchange if an item is defective (malfunctioning).
DashVapes offers an extended 90-day warranty on some items (specifically starter kits and mods). The 90-day extended warranty extends your existing 30-day warranty that comes with the purchase to 90 days. The price for the extended warranty is always $5.00.
You can add the Extended Warranty to your purchase when you add an item to your shopping cart.
You may purchase the additional warranty on your device within 7 days of your purchase.
The extended warranty prolongs your warranty period from 30 to 90 days. It does not alter what is covered by the warranty.
Restocking Fee
Returns / exchanges will incur a 10% Restocking fee on items. This includes packages not signed for during delivery and returned to us by the shipping courier. We can only accept returns on manufacturer sealed items. If an item does not come sealed originally, we are unable to take a return on it. Returns and exchanges are made in the form of Store Credit, and added to your account in the form of Points. Please be aware, if items are returned incomplete or not in the same condition they were shipped to you in, no Credit will be given and the package will be returned to you at your expense.
Underage Purchases
Every package that we ship utilizes Canada Post's Age Verification service. This means that in order for Canada Post to hand over the package, you must verify that you are of legal smoking age in your province or state. (If you are in Canada and choose UPS, UPS requires you to be 19 regardless of where you order from). If Canada Post cannot verify your age, they will ship the items back to us. Once the items return, final sale items (as outlined below) are non-refundable. Any items that are eligible for a refund will be done so minus a FIFTY PERCENT (50%) restocking fee, as well as any shipping charges incurred for shipping the items to you, and for Canada Post to ship them back to us. Incorrectly received items must be returned to us. We provide you with a prepaid return label via email to send back the product(s) free of charge. Shipping Policies
We offer various Canada Post, and UPS shipping options all over the world
At DashVapes we offer a couple of shipping options to our customers. The shipping method you choose does not affect how quickly your orders get placed or processed. We try to ship all In-stock orders that get placed prior to 1:00 PM EST the same day. In some situations though it may take up to 3 days to process and ship your order. Our packages are packaged discreetly for your security. Backordered items will ship as soon as they become in stock.
We offer various Canada Post, and UPS shipping options all over the world. Shipping rates are calculated on the checkout page. A delivery estimate will be shown on the checkout page.
Proof of Age Required
We utilize Canada Post's Proof of Age (18+, 19+ or 21+ depending on your province or state) option on every single package, no exceptions.
Because we utilize this option for all shipments, signature will be obtained upon delivery of all shipments. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the package will be left at your nearest post office, where you will have to show Proof of Age to sign and receive the package.
Any fees associated with packages that are Returned to Sender because Proof of Age was not able to be determined, will NOT receive a refund.
We can not remove this option, even if you have already been verified to be of age. - Every package leaving our facilities will require to be age verified, in accordance with Canadian law. only the person named in the "Shipping" fields can pick up the package. Free Shipping
We offer free Canada Post Expedited shipping on all orders in Canada and USA when you purchase $35 or more in non-overstock products. We usually utilize Canada Post Expedited shipping option for free shipping in Canada, and Small Packet Air (Untracked) for free shipping the U.S.A. There is no insurance added to packages shipped for free. If you would like to ensure your package is tracked, please choose Canada Post Expedited on the checkout page, You can also upgrade to XpressPost, or Priority on the checkout page.
Overstock items are NOT counted towards the $35.00 minimum.
We reserve the right to cancel orders we deem unreasonable to ship for free. (Examples of this are extremely heavy or large and awkward products, etc). We will give you the option to pay for shipping on these items.
In the event your item is not succesfully delivered due to an issue that we deem to be your fault (Wrong address, Failure to pick up, Underage), we will deduct the shipping fees from the initial shipment (even if it was free for you), and the fees for the return shipment that we were charged by the carrier from any potential refund you may be eligible to.

We process all in-stock orders 7 days a week (excluding Canadian holidays).
Please note, if you receive a tracking number during a weekend or major holiday, your order is prepared for shipment, but it is not handed off to a shipping carrier until the following business day.

US and International non-tracked items do not have insurance, and will not be replaced in the event of loss.
