Heres how to make it last for weeks
A life-changing tip about this coil. Just take a needle and poke the cotton a bunch of times before priming the new coil. Try to poke through a few times, and just roughen all the cotton by poking it around everywhere. Normally, the cotton is very dense, so if you vape fast it might dry out and burn in a day. That seemingly happened to a lot of ppl in the comments, and it happened to me too. Roughening the cotton actually helps, it makes the difference between it lasting for 2 days or 2 weeks.

Found the secret to the Mesh Coils
I recently came back to my Crown IV after a few uneventful weeks with an RTA. The first mesh coil I used when I switched back lasted me 2 solid weeks. I was very impressed and was curious why it lasted so much longer than what I was getting before. I used a couple more, and they didn't last as long. The last 2 coils I've used, I have kept them at 60 watts, and did no go up from there, and the coils last twice as long, from my experience with the juice I make anyway. I'm a Uwell fan, and I'm glad I came back to the Crown IV!

Excellent Coils When Adjusted Correctly
After a bit of research and reading, I have found that using a TCR value of 85 (0.00085) for the SS904L coils to be perfect for both Vaporesso systems as well as in the Crown IV Checkmate. The checkmate uses a value of 140 in SS904 mode, which is just too high for these coils, as the tank lasts about a week before losing flavour and needing cleaned. As well, the tank will run warm and effect flavour. Run your mods in TCR mode to get the most out of your coil. I have found no difference in taste between mesh and standard 0.4 coils, only in that the mesh coils don't last as long. Clearer liquids such as Cabana Punch, RAD Vaper, and Melonade make for a longer lasting coil. The only exception to the RAD Vaper line being Party Hardy. While it is good as a treat, I would suggest going light on that particular juice (or any dark juices for subohm vaping), as darker liquids will take a chunk out of your coils expected lifespan (weeks, to days). I get a solid 2-3 weeks out of mine. I do not wait until the coil starts tasting burnt to change it out. What I typically do is run it under a steady stream of warm water (top-bottom) for a couple minutes, and switch (bottom-top). Then what I do is park the coils in a cup of freshly boiled water to sanitize for 5 minutes. Take a paper towel, gently press against the sides. Then I wrap the coils in a fresh layer of paper towel, and seal inside a ziplock bag with food grade silica (not rice) to dry for 2 days.

update to previous review
So as I said in my previous review... was excited for their mesh... and the wait was well worth it!!! the .23 mesh is absolutely fantastic... the flavor it produces is great, and vapor production is quite nice.. on the checkmate mod.. it seems to like to sit around 58-60 watts, while the coil does state a max of 70w seems to be under rated a bit.. as the coil still performs extremely well at 105 watts.. as well. These coils have no issues lasting me almost weeks.. depending on the juices im using. I usually stick to the Frozen raspberry melonade which the flavor is incredible with this coil. The only thing I dislike is the break in for this coil... on the smok mesh its about 10 hits or so.. with really need to go through about 3/4 of a tank before the flavor comes out in full. I do start my coils off around 35 watts and slowly increase as I go along... as well as taking pulls without firing just to ensure the cotton is wicked nicely. Nice coil... but wish it was a 5pk not a 4pk.

Best coils
I’ve owned various devices over the past 5 years and for the money and the quality these are by far the best coils I’ve ever had . I don’t know about the other reviews and what type of vape juice they are using * most likely something high in sweets due to the coil burning * or not priming properly or starting low watts 30 or so and gradually going to 60 or 62 in my case * because I’m vaping the same juice from a vape store * in Montreal that I’ve vaped since forever and with Smok coils , mesh , or pretty much any Smok coil they would last a week at best . I’m pushing close to a month on the same Uwell .4 vaping at 62 watts . No burning ,cotton is still solid white , no burnt taste just pure enjoyment . Thanks Uwell for these coils and this amazing tank . On another note I just saw the checkmate made it’s way onto the site , ordered that up real quick has a setting purely for these coils .

Not great... but fingers crossed for the mesh!
So picked up the Crown 4 tank... and would love to say "checkmate" is appropriate but with the coils that were provided kind of like "stalemate". At least till the mesh coils drop. Blew through the first 2 coils that came with the tank as a previous user stated in about 2.5 days per coil. I've been hitting the .2ohm coil around 62watts and the .4 coil around 58w. After blowing through the coils quickly picked up a pack of the .4ohm coils since I prefer vaping at lower wattage's and I found the flavor was a bit better on the .4ohm. After the disappointing length of time these last I decided to try the old trick I used to use on my old Smok tfv8 baby beast coils (pre-mesh) and poked holes in each of the wicking ports. So far I've had the coil last over 5 days (approx 2400 puffs). These coils are strange in that when they are burnt... its just the cotton... I've noticed the coil itself really has no gunk on it. Overall vapor production is decent and flavor is ok.... still a far cry in comparison to the TFV8 big baby beast or the TFV8 V2 coils from smok. But with their mesh dropping soon hopefully Uwell can kill it.

Tricky to make it last long
Been vaping this tank for 1 week now. I have gone thru 2 coils and now running on my 3rd coil. The two that came with the tank was .2 and .4 ohm coil, same flavor, same restriction, but different wattage range. For these ss coils you really gotta watch your wattage because even tho it's recommended 60-70 for the .4 or 70-80 for the .2 coil, if you chain vape and keep it let's say around 50w, it's gonna get burnt real quick since ss coils' resistance changes as its temperature goes up. TC mode is suggested in order to make it last a bit longer (in my case, about 4-5days). If you only use wattage mode and dont give a f*k about the temp getting high, you will burn the coil within a day or two depends on how often you vape. I vape a lot about 4-5 tanks per day. The first two coils only lasted about a day and a half each. Already preordered the mesh coil and hopefully it will last as long as the mesh coils in my tf v8 baby tank. The tank is fantastic tho, never leaks, good flavor.

Meh so far. Would Give 3.5 if I could
Been underwhelmed by the Crown IV coils. I went through the 2 that came with it, and 1 out of a new pack, and none of them really got going with good flavour. I put another new .4 ohm in, and that one actually had good flavour, but still not as good as I was expecting from a Crown coil. I just picked up a pack of the mesh coils, and so far they have been much better than the 904 SS coils. Flavour right off the bat, and more intense. I'm on day 3 with the mesh coil, and the flavour has dropped off a little, but it's still going strong. They keep up with wicking, produce good flavour and clouds, and hopefully will last at least a week.

Unfortunately consumables are always a final sale (e-juice, coils, tanks, accesories, drip tips, replacement parts, rebuildable supplies, etc).
Our 30-day warranty begins the day the items are delivered. Customer assumes all cost in shipping items back to DashVapes, and DashVapes assume all cost in shipping the item back to the customer. Shipping cost incurrected is non-refundable/creditable.

What is not covered by our warranty?
  • E-liquids, Atomizers, Tanks, Rebuildable products, batteries, chargers, mechanical mods, drip tips, coils or any other accessories on the device itself are NOT covered.
  • Failure or damage caused due to improper use or unauthorized repair
  • Failure or damage as a result of excessive force such as dropping or abuse
  • Failure or damage as a result of usage outside of recommended operating instructions. (See usage manual for operating instructions)
  • Damage or failure caused by improper use. This includes water damage, juice spillage, and fire damage.
  • Leaky tanks are not covered under warranty
  • Loss or damage due to missing components
  • Stripped or damaged threads, crooked 510 connection (Atomizer not sitting flush)
  • Damage to the finish (cosmetic issues), or scratches from a brushed finish.
  • Rattling or sticky buttons
  • Modifying a product in any way, automatically voids the warranty.
  • Defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product.
  • Items outside of our warranty period

What is covered by our Warranty?
  • LED screen issues
  • Charging port issues
  • Battery issues (turning off when firing, etc)
  • Unit auto firing.
  • Chip malfunctions

Some products will have minor flaws and that is to be expected during manufacturing. We can only accept a return or exchange if an item is defective (malfunctioning).

Extended Warranty
DashVapes offers an extended 90-day warranty on some items (specifically starter kits and mods). The 90-day extended warranty extends your existing 30-day warranty that comes with the purchase to 90 days. The price for the extended warranty is always $5.00.

You can add the Extended Warranty to your purchase when you add an item to your shopping cart.

You may purchase the additional warranty on your device within 7 days of your purchase.

The extended warranty prolongs your warranty period from 30 to 90 days. It does not alter what is covered by the warranty.
Restocking Fee
Returns / exchanges will incur a 10% Restocking fee on items. This includes packages not signed for during delivery and returned to us by the shipping courier. We can only accept returns on manufacturer sealed items. If an item does not come sealed originally, we are unable to take a return on it. Returns and exchanges are made in the form of Store Credit, and added to your account in the form of Points. Please be aware, if items are returned incomplete or not in the same condition they were shipped to you in, no Credit will be given and the package will be returned to you at your expense.
Underage Purchases
Every package that we ship utilizes Canada Post's Age Verification service. This means that in order for Canada Post to hand over the package, you must verify that you are of legal smoking age in your province or state. (If you are in Canada and choose UPS, UPS requires you to be 19 regardless of where you order from). If Canada Post cannot verify your age, they will ship the items back to us. Once the items return, final sale items (as outlined below) are non-refundable. Any items that are eligible for a refund will be done so minus a FIFTY PERCENT (50%) restocking fee, as well as any shipping charges incurred for shipping the items to you, and for Canada Post to ship them back to us. This is absolutely non-negotiable. If you are underage, please do not order items, you will lose money doing so.

If we make an error when fulfilling your order, please contact customer service within 48 hours of receiving your package to initiate a claim. A brief email to alerting us of an error is the quickest way of initiating claims. Incorrectly received items must be returned to us. We provide you with a prepaid return label via email to send back the product(s) free of charge. Product Exchanges
Items that are DOA (Dead on Arrival) or still under warranty, are eligible for an exchange only. We will exchange the item with the exact same item, in the exact same colour. Exceptions may apply if the item is no longer being actively stocked.

Refunds & Store Credit

At DashVapes we offer a couple of shipping options to our customers. The shipping method you choose does not affect how quickly your orders get placed or processed. We try to ship all In-stock orders that get placed prior to 1:00 PM EST the same day. In some situations though it may take up to 3 days to process and ship your order. Our packages are packaged discreetly for your security. Backordered items will ship as soon as they become in stock.

We offer various Canada Post, and UPS shipping options all over the world. Shipping rates are calculated on the checkout page. A delivery estimate will be shown on the checkout page.
Proof of Age Required
We utilize Canada Post's Proof of Age (18+, 19+ or 21+ depending on your province or state) option on every single package, no exceptions.

Because we utilize this option for all shipments, signature will be obtained upon delivery of all shipments. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the package will be left at your nearest post office, where you will have to show Proof of Age to sign and receive the package.

Any fees associated with packages that are Returned to Sender because Proof of Age was not able to be determined, will NOT receive a refund.

We can not remove this option, even if you have already been verified to be of age. - Every package leaving our facilities will require to be age verified, in accordance with Canadian law. only the person named in the "Shipping" fields can pick up the package. Canada Post will NOT release the package to anyone else
Free Shipping
We offer free same day shipping (not delivery) on all orders in Canada and USA when you purchase C$35 or more in non-overstock products, and free shipping every where else in the world when you spend C$100 or more in non-overstock products. We usually utilize Canada Post Expedited shipping option for free shipping in Canada, UPS Standard for free shipping the U.S.A, and UPS or Canada Post Air Shipping for all international destinations (some international destinations may be untracked). There is no insurance added to packages shipped for free.

Overstock items are NOT counted towards the free shipping minimum.

We reserve the right to cancel orders we deem unreasonable to ship for free. (Examples of this are extremely heavy or large and awkward products, etc). We will give you the option to pay for shipping on these items.

Orders shipping for free must ship from the same distribution center. If all of the items on your order are not in stock at one distribution center and must be shipped form multiple locations, we will contact you to either change the item or to pay additional shipping charges.

In the event your item is not succesfully delivered due to an issue that we deem to be your fault (Wrong address, Failure to pick up, Underage), we will deduct the shipping fees from the initial shipment (even if it was free for you), and the fees for the return shipment that we were charged by the carrier from any potential refund you may be eligible to.

Orders shipped to outside of Canada may be subject to import duties, taxes, and / or brokerage fees. We cannot control this.

We process all in-stock orders 7 days a week (excluding Canadian holidays).

Please note, if you receive a tracking number during a weekend or major holiday, your order is prepared for shipment, but it is not handed off to a shipping carrier until the following business day.

Any foreseen order processing delays are visibly announced directly on the affected product's page. If we are experiencing a larger than normal order volume an announcement is made via a site-wide notice.

Order Changes & Cancellations
Order changes or cancellations are possible. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate any changes as long as the order has not yet been shipped.
