I'm going to leave a lengthy review here, as I've found there isn't much information about this device out there, and given my experience with it in the new CRC climate in Canada, there definitely needs to be. I've been using the Aspire Favostix for about 3 to 4 days and I have a lot to say about it. First, with the phasing out of the old Caliburn products, I feel like this is your best bet. Not only because it's cheaper than other options, but because it has incredible battery life. I'm not a chain vaper, but I will go through about a pod of Juice a day. I used less than 50% of the battery's capacity each day. It has a neat little LED screen that allows you to see and adjust wattage, as well as keep accurate track of your battery life. Those are big plus's for me. It's a firm aluminum, sturdy device. Its heavier than other pod systems out there, but that's because it's housing a big big battery which could last me all day and into the morning if it had to. It feels good in my hand when I use it. It's very comfortable to grip and to use. The button action is solid. 5 clicks on, 5 clicks off. 3 clicks to adjust wattage, which round robins anywhere from 1 to 30 watts. The flavors while slightly muted in comparison to being spoiled with my previous use of the Koko pods, is actually really good. The 1.0 ohm coil has a SUPURB mouth to lung draw. Very tight and satisfying. You can vape that one between 12 and 15 watts. The flavor is there, and while not the strongest it could be, it's definitely pleasing to the senses. If you've been looking for an excelent mouth to lung draw, THIS pod is it. Period. It's the best MTL draw I've ever had from any pod system, period. The 0.6ohm coil is a very loose MTL. Not loose enough for a DTL, not as tight as 1.0ohm coil, so it's somewhere in the middle. You can vape it between 15 and 18 watts. I get very cool, smooth hits from it, and the flavor is actually pretty impressive to be honest. If you're scrambling after the new CRC guidelines as I was, I'm going to tell you straight up that this mesh coil provides you with a great, smooth, airy, flavorful vape. I am actually starting to like it just as much as the device I replaced. (old caliburn with koko pods). The Pod life seems heavily dependent on what juice you are using. I am using Galactic in one of the 0.6ohm coils, and because it's a desert flavor with a lot of sweetening, the mesh coil is already visibly starting to gunk up, and turning the e-liquid an amber brown color. Flavor hasn't been effected yet, so I'd say if I got a week out of that pod with a desert flavor, that would be a win considering how economically priced the pods are. However, In a separate 0.6ohm coil, I am using Frosty Peach, something without much sweetener at all, and I am seeing no gunking. Thus, I can confidently say that if you stick to juices with a low amount of added sweetener (such as fruit, minty, or menthol flavors), you're going to greatly extend the pod life. Some good juices to use in this would be Frosty Peach (or any other liquid by Cabana), or DashVapes in house liquids, as they don't use any sweeteners. (a fun fact a learned when talking to a customer service rep over the phone)All things considered, I give this device a 4.5 out of 5 stars. It is the best possible replacement I could of hoped for for the Caliburn, and in many ways exceeds it, such as battery life, consistent wattage, and the display screen. The 0.6ohm coil almost matches it in flavor, so I am extremely pleased with this device. There is no spitback, it doesn't leak, which are two huge plus's for me, as I have never owned a device efficient enough to live up to that standard. The bottom fill ports are good and don't leak at all. You'll still get a bit of condensation while vaping, but that's to be assumed, and easily remedied with a cotton swab. There is virtually no point of failure on these pods.It has been speculated they may come out with an even stronger pod, as the device goes up to 30 watts. I really hope that becomes a reality. This is the best CRC device I could have hoped for. The pods are economically priced, and I'll leave a separate review for them after a week to speak to how long their lifespan actually is with the variety of juices I have in my pantry. If you're looking to replace your non CRC pod device, this is the most economical device while being the highest quality on the entire site, in my view. You really can't go wrong with it. If you've been waiting for the all clear to make the jump to this device, I can tell you with certainty that you won't regret it.

I thought this was the best pod system ever. The first two units I bought a year ago worked flawlessly. I replaced them recently with two new Favostix and both had serious misfiring problems. The last unit I bought completely stopped working in less than a month. Huge disappointment. I used to trust Aspire products but I will not buy their vapes anymore.

Let me start by saying the vape quality of this product is incredible for a pod system. I like it better than the two caliburns I've used and it actually stopped me from using my rebuildables for a couple months.Unfortunately, within all the pods I've bought, one of them was DOA (Wrong resistance), and the second died within a few days (not reading correctly). This is on a total of 9 pods bought total, which is a pretty bad failure rate. Then the actual device started misfiring like crazy. For a while I could get it to work sometimes, and I thought it was a stuck button so I cleaned around the button and tried to mess with it. Most of these pod systems are a p.i.t.a to service though, and eventually it not only didn't missfire or auto fire, it just completely stopped working. At least there's a good auto stop that didn't fail, but if that were to fail too, this thing could actually be dangerous. Since it's only one button the thing has missfired in a way that shot it up to 30 watts (when max for the coils was ~15) and then it kept firing for 7s straight, the thing got worryingly hot. On a device with this many issues I don't know how confident anyone can be regarding their safeguards.Perhaps I've been unlucky, yet at least one other review here discusses similiar QC issues.

Bought mine in August from Dashvapes and the unit stopped charging in just 3 months of use. Getting check USB error message and all troubleshooting steps hasn't worked. Aspire customer service is pretty bad too, if the unit is over 3 months old they don't bother helping in anyway.

Altogether, I bought 3 Aspire Favostix. I bought #1 in April 2021. I liked it so I bought #2 in Sept 2021 to have as a backup. Shortly thereafter, #1 began to have problems which included the fire button getting stuck or not working, random spontaneous firing, overheating and eventually it stopped working completely. I figured it was an anomaly so I ordered #3 (again to have a backup) in March 2022. Then #2 began to have the same problems as #1 and eventually that one also stopped working. I still had #3 but bought another brand to buy as a backup, as I had lost all faith in the Favostix. And as of yesterday #3 - the one I bought just two months ago is experiencing the same problems the other two had. So I am officially done with Favoxtix and I do not recommend buying this product unless you're okay with buying a new one every few months. Incidentally, my previous vape was the original Caliburn which still works after 4 years (just can't get the pods for it anymore)

So Im currently on my second Favostix device, as my first one stared malfunctioning after about 2 months. It would not fire, random misfiring, to eventually not functioning at all. So why did I buy another one? Well, heres the thing for $35 your not going to get a better small pod system. Ive used several similar units over the years, including the og Caliburn and the newer Caliburn G. Nothing comes close to this device. Battery lasts me 2 days easy, charge takes less than an hour. Tank holds 2-3ml of juice, and pods are reasonably priced. Flavour is on point with any juices I put through it, and the 1.0ohm coils give you a draw tighter than a chipmunks butthole. Even if this ones gives out on me. I will be more than happy to buy it again. Enough said

Not sure if i'm a one off based on the other reviews, but def was not impressed with this device. The first day or two was solid, taste was great. After that the pods started leaking regularly, and a month later the firing mechanism would randomly automatically misfire.

Did you love the original caliburn but hate the new one ? Yeah me too, i was sad to see it phase out, dont be anymore though, cause this thing is insane !!!!! So much better than the caliburn its unreal. The 0.6 ohm coil makes a weird vibrating noise when firing which is totaly normal , did my research and it simply the coil firing, flavor is amazing like you can taste whatever youre vaping.Amazing device
